ARO 53.3mm Stainless Steel Tamper for Breville and Sage Barista, Magnetic Dock.

The stock Breville tamper is too small for the basket and too light to do the job. This one is CNC-machined to 53.3 mm with a sharp edge, so it covers a Breville or Sage 54mm basket to the wall and leaves no soft ring for water to find. It weighs about 450 g, close to a pound, and does the compressing for you. Shipped direct from ARO Espresso.

The clever part

It is machined from ferritic food-grade stainless, the kind a magnet sticks to, so it docks in the Barista's built-in magnetic tamper holder like the original. Most upgrade tampers are austenitic and simply fall off.

All Breville and Sage 54mm baskets, stock or aftermarket: Barista Express, Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Express Impress, Touch Impress, Bambino, Bambino Plus, Infuser and Duo-Temp Pro.

Care

Brush the face after each shot. Wipe with a damp cloth as needed and dry; the steel is rust-resistant but not dishwasher-proof.
