ARO Manual WDT v2 Espresso Distribution Tool, Magnetic Stand or Wall Mount.
A WDT tool you configure rather than accept. The contoured aluminum handle carries a flexible press-in pin holder with two rings plus a center hole, so you choose the count, the spread and the pin gauge for your basket and grinder. Twenty pins ship in the box, ten at 0.25 mm and ten at 0.35 mm. Black or silver, with a formed-steel stand or a magnetic wall mount.
Why it is different
Most WDT tools fix the pattern for you. Here the outer ring suits 57mm to 58mm baskets, the inner ring suits 49mm to 55mm, and you can mix gauges to tune stiffness: 0.25 mm slices and fluffs, 0.35 mm breaks dense clumps without pushing grounds around. Pins press in and pull out by hand, with tweezers included for precision. The pins are extra long with an outward flare to reach the bottom of deep baskets and dosing cups, and the tips are flat rather than needle-sharp, so they are kinder to baskets and fingers.
Storage
A magnet in the handle docks the tool to either option. Steel stand: thick formed steel, satin black powder coat, silicone base pad. Wall mount: a non-marring printed mount with a high-strength magnet, plus a silicone pad for metal surfaces and a residue-free gel adhesive pad for everything else. The mount ships with neither pad fitted so you choose.
Technique
Start with nine pins: the center plus one ring. After dosing, work deep passes near the bottom of the basket to break clumps, then finish by lightly raking the top few millimeters to level. Let the pins do the work.
In the box
Handle with pin holder, ten 0.25 mm and ten 0.35 mm stainless pins (87 mm) in labeled tubes, tweezers, and your chosen stand or mount. Spare pins are sold separately in the 87 mm length.
Care
Brush off grounds after use. Pins remove for hand washing in mild soap and lukewarm water; rinse and dry completely.
