The straight answer to "which basket should I own." A laser-cut precision basket from IMS's E&B Lab line: straight walls, evenly spaced holes, and a rim profile that clicks into a standard 58mm portafilter the way the stock basket does. Grind, dose, pull. It just behaves.

Two doses:

• 18g: 24mm working height, built for 14-18g doses. The classic double, and the right pick for machines with tighter headspace.
• 20g: 26mm working height, built for 18-20g doses. The reference geometry for modern espresso.
