A bottomless portafilter shows you what the puck is doing: channeling, spritzing and uneven flow show up on the first shot instead of hiding in the spout. This one is built for the Gaggia Classic's 58 mm group.
The head is aluminum, so it's lighter than the stock chrome-plated brass portafilter. It has a flat bottom, so it sits level on the counter or a tamping mat. The handle is layered wood, in six colours.
